IDOL GIVES BACK 2008 ::: WEDNESDAY APRIL 09
American Idol Top 08: David Cook, Carly Smithson, Michael Johns, Jason Castro, Brooke White, Syesha Mercado, David Archuleta, Kristy Lee Cook
The historic Emmy Award-winning television event and music celebration, raises awareness and funds to benefit six charities. 2007 was the first time for IGB and ended up raising around $74 million. There’s no word yet as to how much was raised this year, but probably more than last year. Many celebrities participated, including: Robin Williams, Celine Dion, Forest Whitaker, Billy Crystal, Dane Cook, Kiefer Sutherland, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Connelly, Elliott Yamin, Fantasia Barrino, Amy Adams, Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Teri Hatcher, Cat Deeley, Maria Shriver, Rob Schneider, Dr. Phil McGraw, Katie Holmes, Camryn Manheim, Kobe Bryant, Kylie Minogue, George Lopez, Cole & Dylan Sprouse, Mary Murphy, Ricki Lake, Emily Proctor, Peyton and Eli Manning, Fergie, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Annie Lennox, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, Heart, and Gloria Estefan.
